In addition to verbally reporting flips, failures, non-conformities, and other unusual occurrences of the CSS apparatus as required by these rules, the Engineer will report them on the prescribed form.
EXPLANATION:
As covered in previous rules, a number of factors contribute to unusual occurrences while operating in CSS territory. It is important to inform the Dispatcher as these occurrences arise. However, it is just as important to inform those responsible for the testing and repair of cab signal equipment of any event(s) requiring repair or testing. Engineers are required by Rule 955, and SI 055-1 to make a written report as soon as possible after each trip. Along with any defects, cab signal irregularities should be reported on this form (TRO-955).
